Located at the Gateway of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, River Chase is a large, custom home community with a country living feel, situated between the cities of New Braunfels and Canyon Lake and just a short distance to the historic Texas town of Gruene.  River Chase is divided into two sections separated by Farm to Market Road 306; encompassing almost 4000 acres apportioned into 1,732 residential lots.
The western portion, covering almost 1,500 acres with 361 lots, is bordered by FM 306, and the Guadalupe River, has larger lots, above-ground utilities, and individual wells.  The exceptional feature of this section is a 57-acre riverfront property for the enjoyment of River Chase residents.  The River Park is nicely equipped with a party pavilion, tennis courts, playgrounds, grills, and ancient dinosaur tracks.  The River Park’s highlight is a limestone riverfront beach with a paved path and dock and over 100 yards of riverfront access.
The larger of the two sections is the eastern segment comprised of 2,300 acres, separated into 1,371 lots with underground utilities and water lines.  The Clubhouse is situated on a 33-acre park with a magnificent 5-mile view across Comal County towards New Braunfels.  Inclusive in this beautiful section is the swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, and even a community fishing pond.
River Chase is a modern and thriving community with a very welcoming and friendly approach – one that has a high level of activities geared for the enjoyment of all.

We love River Chase because it….
 Has a great location only minutes from historic Gruene, Canyon Lake, retail shopping and great restaurants and is centrally located between San Antonio, Austin, and the Texas Hill Country

 Has three excellent health care facilities; Resolute Health, Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, and Central Texas Medical Center

 Has excellent shopping – Town Center at Creekside, San Marcos Outlet Malls (Premium and Tanger), and Historic Gruene

 Has beautiful scenery of rolling hills, majestic oak trees and many panoramic views

 Has abundant wildlife – commonly seen are deer, turkey, fox, and hundreds of avian species.  Less commonly seen are bobcat, coyote and ringtail cat

What's New
Our Property Owners Association has now established our own Venmo Account to facilitate donations for the River Chase Events Committee Funds. Our earlier posts outlined in some detail, the events your donations support.
Venmo is a PayPal affiliate and is offered both as a website and mobile app. It’s a FREE service if you create an account and link your bank routing number. You can use a debit/credit card but that does charge a fee and can be accessed by going to Venmo
Not comfortable with the electronic donation methods? Not to worry, you can take a check (payable to NBRCPOA) to the River Chase on-site office at the clubhouse. Donations can be dropped off at the office M-F 9-5.
